These folks were great, even during a ground blizzard! Wasnt a bright move going up rimrock highway, but wanted to give it a try...great chicken fried steak.

Very busy place but service was fast and awesome. Hamburger was fantastic. Fries were awesome. Ranch was phanominal. Highly recommend.

Best burgers in the hills! Love this place!

Food was good, service left a little to be desired. We timed it perfectly after the lunch rush and were able to sit right down at a table inside. Unfortunately, we sat there for 15 minutes until finally having to ask about service. The same person who told us to "sit anywhere we'd like" when we walked in, then took time to wipe down the bar and 3 tables prior to taking our drink order. Food arrived relatively quickly and was hot, fresh, and tasted great! 5 stars for the food, 3 for the service; math makes it a 4 star review.

We go every year when in Sturgis. It wouldn't be the same without one of their great burgers.

They have some good food here and service is very nice as well. Very Rustic Environment. The building needs some updating but I would guess that it's not busy all the time. I hope it stays open for a while yet. For the past I don't know how many years I have stopped every once in while to have a burger. And they are great!

The Sugar Shack has been awarded "best burgers in the black hills" in prior years however I was there for breakfast.. The service was spot on and friendly, the coffee was fine, the eggs and potatoes were good (not much you can mess up there), the pancake was a bit on the thick and "bready" side. Next time I'm through I'll definitely try the hamburgers.

I tell everyone who is visiting Rapid City this is the place for a burger. No competition. Natural, juicy, fresh, fat burgers and scalding hot, natural fries. Amazing monsters for real men! And very consistent! Get extra napkins.

Absolutely love making the drive through the Black Hills JUST to eat here. The food has never disappointed...One day I'll make it in time for breakfast which I've heard is just as delicious!

We didn't go into the actual store...but we did hang out at the giant log wood Easy Glider rocking chair! It was very cool!

I give this little burger shack, on the side of the road, 3 stars only because the service wasn't the greatest. It took 15 to 20 minutes for her to make it to the table. Price is a bit high. $10.95 for a bacon cheeseburger w/chips. You can get fries for another dollar. All of that aside, the burger and fries were pretty darn good. Both cooked perfectly. This is not a bad place to stop for lunch in the heart of the Black Hills. Nice covered deck to enjoy the day.

Everyone loves the burgers..but their chicken tenders and caramel rolls are really great too!

Good breakfast & very friendly service. Sugar Shack is AKA The best burgers in the Black Hills! Out back of the next business (Deer Lodge) was this very cool roadside attraction! You've got to stop & check it all out! Open year round.

Food was amazing! Really good beef patties! Double up the BUBBA BURGER it is highly recommended, Pepperjack Cheese, Jalapeños with Bbq Sauce.

Great food and friendly service. It's a tradition to stop in ffg or a brew and a bite whenever we are "home" back in the Black Hills. Had a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and fries this time. One of the best I've ever had!
